On her social media page, she shared that she can no longer remain in the shadows, watching her husband act with impunity. They legalized their relationship in 2016, when he was already divorced from his first wife and had a son.
“At first, after the wedding, everything was going quite well, but soon conflicts and misunderstandings began. After two years, I faced infidelity and violence, and he beat me for not being able to accept it. I forgave him because I was afraid of being left alone with two children and didn’t want to deprive them of their father,” she says. “For a while, he tried to behave like an ideal husband, but this didn’t last long.
In early 2022, I found out I was pregnant. I was happy, and he seemed to be too. But the real horror began when Eldar became a deputy. From that moment, in his own words, he became 'like a dog off its leash' — he started abusing alcohol and raised his hand against me.Azamatova noted that he later explained his actions by saying he was “intoxicated by power.”
“I was hospitalized, filed a report, went through all the necessary procedures, including a forensic examination, and received the 'Istanbul Protocol.' But these actions led to no results. No one from law enforcement even inquired if I was alive. I felt ashamed because after a few months, I forgave Eldar again, as I was completely dependent on him. His drinking, infidelity, and violence continued. Eventually, I decided to file for divorce when my youngest child was only three months old. I could no longer tolerate the violence,” Asel shared.
She also reported that during conflicts, Eldar would take away the car she used to transport the children and cut off their financial support.
“I looked for part-time work, leaving the children, including the infant, at home. On July 28, 2023, he came without warning and tried to take the older children, even though we were still living in his house. I refused to hand them over, fearing he wouldn’t return them, and for that, I was hit and fell to the floor. Resisting was practically useless, as he weighs about 100 kg, while I weigh only 50-52 kg. In a fit of anger, I ran outside and broke the windows of his car. He saw this and called the police. And that’s when the real comedy began: I was almost sent to a detention center for three days for damaging his property with a five-month-old baby. As a result, there were several hearings in the Lenin Court, where I was convicted. It’s a paradox — when a pregnant woman is beaten to near death, no one reacts because the abuser is a high-ranking individual, but if you break a couple of windows, you get dragged through the courts,” she wrote.
Response from Eldar Sulaymanov

There is currently no court ruling confirming my guilt. In accordance with the principle of presumption of innocence, all accusations must be considered exclusively within the framework of the law,” the statement reads.
