Wrestlers from Sosnovka gifted their coach Baktybek Abdyrazakov a car and a trip to Turkey
The idea for the gift arose among the local residents. In a short time, graduates and current students, along with concerned locals, raised funds for this act of goodwill. The gift includes a 2019 Hyundai Sonata, winter tires, a polishing certificate, fuel vouchers, and a trip to Antalya for Baktybek and his wife Nazira.
The car's license plate was chosen with special meaning: 079 symbolizes the year of the coach's birth, and the letters ABK are his initials.
“I was thinking about a loan…” shares Baktybek Abdyrazakov. He recently renewed his driver's license, but he did not have the funds to purchase a car.
“I coach, and my wife works as a nurse. Our salaries are not enough for large purchases. I had already looked into loan conditions at banks. It seems my students found out about this and decided to take action,” he noted.
The coach's wife, Nazira, has always supported the team during training camps, prepared meals for the athletes, and provided medical assistance. The students also remembered her: in April, the couple will go on a week-long trip to Turkey.
Baktybek Abdyrazakov, born in 1979 in Sosnovka, entered the world of wrestling following in his father's footsteps. After completing his studies at the physical education institute with a degree in "coaching and teaching," he returned to his native village to work.
He started from scratch: the wrestling hall was located in a tiny room measuring 4 by 5 meters in an old kindergarten building. Training sessions were held in turns, divided by age groups. In 2008, the villagers helped transform a former cafeteria into a full-fledged hall, which was renovated and equipped. In 2018, they acquired new mats and insulated the premises.
Currently, Abdyrazakov holds the position of senior coach at the wrestling hall and teaches physical education at the local school, which has more than 1,850 children enrolled. Over the years of his work, he has trained at least a thousand athletes, among whom are republic champions and members of the Kyrgyzstan national team. One of his students, Adilet Anarbekov, became a multiple national champion and now lives and works in the USA.
However, the coach himself believes that his main achievement is not in medals.
“My most important achievement is not the titles. The main thing is that I was able to instill in children a love for sports and a healthy lifestyle. We still keep in touch. This gift is an inspiration and confirmation that my work has not been in vain,” he emphasized.
The director of the Jayil district children's and youth sports school, Nurzhan Suimonaliev, noted that this is the most generous gift he has seen in his practice, made to a coach by grateful students.
