Context: Earlier, a lower court judge rejected the prosecutor's request to initiate criminal proceedings against Bulgan Tuya Khurelbaatar on suspicion of preparing and participating in a power grab in the highest government bodies. The prosecutor appealed this decision to the chief judge.
On January 28, 2026, the chief judge reviewed the prosecutor's complaint, taking into account the collected evidence and the need to prevent interference in the criminal proceedings. As a result, the court modified the previous ruling and established a travel ban until the proceedings are completed.
