The Parliament of Kazakhstan has completed the ratification of the Temporary Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Mongolia, which will significantly expand trade opportunities and simplify market access.
At the parliamentary session, Acting Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Zhanell Kushakova stated that this agreement provides for the elimination of import duties for 367 categories of goods that are in circulation between the EAEU member countries and Mongolia.
The agreement will be in effect for three years with the possibility of automatic extension for the same period.
Kushakova also emphasized that the agreement covers not only tariff liberalization issues but also aspects such as technical regulation, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, customs cooperation, and protective measures for domestic markets. These initiatives aim to simplify trade procedures and eliminate non-tariff barriers.
“This agreement will create favorable conditions for the import of goods to the Mongolian market,” she added, noting that its ratification will not lead to negative socio-economic consequences and will not require additional expenditures from the state budget.
