The strongest flare on the Sun since the anomaly in early February

Scientists report that solar activity is "quickly recovering after a decline in the middle of the month." As a result, an M2.4 class flare was recorded, which corresponds to an average intensity level. Over the past day, more than ten flares occurred.
Compared to yesterday, when only one flare was registered, and the day before yesterday, when there were none, the current event, although not particularly powerful, is nevertheless the most significant flare that has occurred since February 9, as noted by the laboratory.

Experts also emphasize that the current activity is significantly less intense compared to the beginning of the month, when six X-class flares, the most powerful ones exceeding class M, occurred.

There is no threat to Earth, as the active region is located at the edge of the solar disk.

At the beginning of February, there was abnormally high solar activity when the active region AR 4366 was present on the visible surface of the Sun, setting a record for the 21st century in the number of powerful flares.
