In the morning, an eruption occurred at Mayon Volcano, located on the island of Luzon, resulting in lava being ejected up to 100 meters high. This was reported by the Philippine News Agency, citing data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

The height of the volcano's crater is 2462 meters, and it is considered one of the most active in the Philippines. In its report, the NDRRMC published a video recording of this impressive eruption.

“The eruption itself lasted about 35 seconds and was captured by surveillance cameras installed at the volcano observatory,” said the NDRRMC.

So far, authorities have not made a decision to raise the threat level from three to four, which could lead to the evacuation of residents within a radius of 7-8 kilometers. However, experts warn of the possibility of an explosive eruption in the coming days or weeks.

Mayon Volcano has erupted more than 50 times in the last 400 years. Despite its activity and potential danger, it attracts many tourists, especially during eruption periods.
