A psychologist hour will be introduced in Kazakhstani schools, and assistance rooms for victims of violence will be opened

During the discussion, four key areas of the concept concerning children's rights in the fields of safety, education, health, as well as family and social welfare were presented.

“To assess the effectiveness of our work, 10 indicators are provided, and the implementation of 158 activities will require a total funding of 1.3 trillion tenge,” noted the minister.

Regarding the aspect of “Safety,” it is planned to expand the principle of “Law and Order” to create a safe environment for the life, learning, and development of every child. The upbringing of children will be based on the ideas of the “Taza Kazakhstan” campaign.

Currently, there are 20 psychological support centers operating in Kazakhstan, safety lessons are conducted in schools, and a contact center 111 is in operation. As part of the new concept, the introduction of a class dedicated to the work of a psychologist in schools is planned, as well as the opening of 40 rooms where children who have become victims of violence can receive assistance, added Zhuldyz Suleimenova.

In the area concerning the “Child's Right to Education,” the focus is on creating equal opportunities for all children to receive quality education. The minister emphasized that the qualifications of teachers involved in early development will be improved, and the educational programs will be updated.

Moreover, one of the priorities of the concept is the organization of inclusive education. A set of measures is planned for children with special educational needs, including the expansion of the network of psychological, medical, and pedagogical consultations, the development of correctional support rooms, and centers for children with autism, as well as systematic support in educational institutions. These measures will help reduce the number of students studying at home due to health reasons, ensuring their full participation in the educational process.

It is also planned to license organizations providing special psychological and pedagogical services.

The concept pays special attention to the institution of the family, parental responsibility, and mechanisms of social support. In particular, systemic measures are provided to strengthen the institution of the family and enhance the responsibility of both parents and foster families.
