As Askaliyev explained, after his appeal to the president, employees of the National Investment Agency contacted him and organized a meeting with several ministries.
During the meeting, potential benefits and support measures for promoting Kyrgyz automotive production were discussed.
According to Askaliyev, providing such preferences will allow local manufacturers to compete with imported goods. He noted that his company had previously lost tenders because the prices for domestic buses were 20-25% higher than those of foreign counterparts. At the same time, "Beles" is ready to produce not only buses but also trucks.
The entrepreneur also reported that this year, the Bishkek city hall plans to purchase 600 buses. However, representatives of the municipality did not attend the meeting, and despite the fact that a commercial proposal has already been sent, no response has been received yet.

At the moment, there are no official comments or information from the National Investment Agency and relevant ministries regarding the results of the meeting.
It is worth noting that Askaliyev had previously expressed dissatisfaction with the failure of government agencies to fulfill a promise made by the president three years ago to purchase ten locally produced buses for testing. He also emphasized that he had repeatedly contacted various government structures, but to no avail.
The 'Beles' factory was launched about three years ago, and the first bus was presented to the head of state. In 2022-2023, the Bishkek city hall stated its readiness to consider the purchase of domestic buses, provided that certain technical and commercial conditions were met. However, later the authorities explained that the choice was made in favor of imported equipment due to the requirements for the volume of supplies and the characteristics of the transport.
At the beginning of 2026, it was reported that the 'Beles' project was temporarily suspended for improvements and to bring the products in line with international standards; however, the company emphasized that the project has not been definitively closed.
