- During his speech, Sydykov reported that permanent connections have been established in Kyrgyzstan with regulators, the Geological Agency, and the Ministry of Ecology, as well as other strategic institutions.

He emphasized that over 1000 deposits are registered in the country, but less than 50% of them are actively developed.

Sydykov added that out of 20-22 critical minerals recognized at the global level, only about seven are currently being developed in Kyrgyzstan. The total value of the country's mineral resources is approximately $177 billion, while for the entire region, this figure reaches between $1 trillion and $1.5 trillion.

In order for the sector to develop actively, the implementation of modern technologies, the attraction of qualified personnel, and capital are necessary.

He also noted the need to improve legislation, logistics, supply chains, and the accessibility of geological data.

“Every dollar invested in the accessibility of geological data yields a return of $7.3,” added Sydykov.

Moreover, he pointed out that Kyrgyzstan has not yet implemented the transition to international GORC standards and other Western methods of managing geological data.
