This year, significant projects in road construction are planned in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the Minister of Transport and Communications Abdykarim Syrgabaev. The main project will be the construction of the Barskoon – Bedel – Uch-Turfan road.
“This route will become the third corridor connecting our country with China. We will begin its construction. There is also a task to complete the works on the Balikchy – Barskoon – Karakol road by August 31. This will require about 8 billion soms. In addition, it is planned to build the Naryn – Bayetov road, which will be 120 kilometers long. The first layer of asphalt has already been laid on a 30-kilometer section, and this year we hope to complete the project and put it into operation,” the minister added.
Furthermore, Syrgabaev drew attention to the construction of the Northern Bypass Road for the capital.
“This will be the first category one road in our country. It will be six lanes wide and have elevated bridges. The main goal is to eliminate traffic jams in Bishkek,” he emphasized.
