According to the press service of the ministry, the main goal of this initiative is to develop a Kyrgyz-Russian and Russian-Kyrgyz dictionary of terms. This project aims to eliminate confusion and diversity in professional vocabulary, which is especially important in areas such as agronomy, veterinary medicine, irrigation, and processing. The lack of unified translation standards creates difficulties in preparing regulatory acts and official documentation.
The meeting was chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Janibek Kerimaliev. The discussion also included the director of the Kyrgyz Encyclopedia and Terminology Center, T. Osmonaliev, as well as representatives of the country's agricultural science, including scientists from KNAU named after K.I. Skryabin and leading specialists from relevant research institutes.
As a result of the meeting, it became clear that the new dictionary will be useful not only for government officials and lawyers. It will also become a valuable resource for specialists working directly in the field, as well as for teachers and students of agricultural universities. The formation of a unified terminological base will enable the agricultural sector of the country to speak in one precise and modern language.
