Razbaev emphasized that the historical ties between Azerbaijan and Central Asia have always been strong, and all these countries have had some relation to the Great Silk Road.
“The C5 format was an important step towards improving regional cooperation. With the inclusion of Azerbaijan, it transforms into the C6 format, which is a logical step based on historical traditions. Central Asia is gradually expanding its borders. While C5 was previously limited to a certain geography, C6 opens the way to historical trade routes,” he noted.
According to the expert, this approach contributes to strengthening friendly ties between peoples: new tourist routes emerge, air connections are launched, and trade turnover increases.
“Cultural identity is crucial: we are all Turkic-speaking states, and we have much in common. The C6 format will facilitate the acceleration of integration processes and improve mutual understanding. This concerns not only political positions but also the development of international law and national institutions,” he added.
Razbaev also noted that joint analytical studies help to better understand each other's interests and prepare the necessary reforms.
“The current moment is favorable for jointly forming a common agenda. Countries have always supported such initiatives, and business, trade, and investments have become the first areas where common interests are manifested. Culture and tourism naturally follow the economy, which further strengthens regional cooperation. This will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the formation of consensus and partnership not only within the region but also with other states,” he concluded.
