Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, announced an initiative to create a state program aimed at constructing modern warehouses equipped with refrigeration chambers. The main focus of the project will be on preserving the quality of vegetables and fruits for their successful export, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry.

According to Torobaev, the implementation of this project will significantly reduce losses of agricultural harvests. Currently, farmers often face the problem of a lack of specialized storage facilities, which leads to substantial product losses. The new warehouses will protect the harvest and create additional opportunities for processing and access to foreign markets.

“The Ministry is ready to provide full support to farmers, agribusinesses, and processors in the construction of warehouses. Creating facilities that meet international standards is a strategic step that will not only enhance the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex but also strengthen the country's food security,” he noted.

The program also envisions comprehensive support for the agricultural sector and the creation of new jobs.

The project will be implemented through a public-private partnership mechanism with the involvement of investors.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry will ensure full support at all stages: from design and construction to operation and certification of warehouse facilities. Additionally, ministry specialists will offer consulting services on inventory management and the organization of logistics chains. It is expected that this project will help farmers significantly increase their incomes and reduce financial risks, the department added.
