At a meeting of the "Ala-Too" deputy group, entrepreneur Jasur Parpiev reported the closure of a large number of sewing enterprises in Kyrgyzstan.

According to Parpiev, starting from September 2025, at least 4-5 thousand sewing workshops have closed in the country, and this number may be even higher.

"Five months have already passed, but there is still no support for the sewing industry. When problems arise, no one shows interest in their causes. When I opened my workshop, I was inspected for three months. All government agencies were involved in the inspection. And now, as difficulties are increasing, none of them are interested in what is happening. About half a million people work in this sector," he stated.

Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov was unable to provide exact data on the number of closed sewing companies in recent months. He explained that many enterprises do not register, which complicates the counting of the total number of closed workshops.
