At the meeting, the deputies discussed that more than 3,000 sewing workshops had been closed, leaving thousands of people without jobs. Industry representatives appealed for assistance to support the sewing industry and domestic producers in general.
Deputy Jumabek Salymbekov asked the Minister of Economy and Commerce about the number of closed sewing enterprises, pointing out the decrease in production volumes and loss of competitiveness. He inquired about the measures the ministry is taking to address the mentioned problems, considering Kyrgyzstan's membership in the EAEU.
Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov confirmed that work is currently underway to establish cooperation with Wildberries.
In addition, Deputy Seyidbek Atambaev raised the issue of attracting foreign specialists from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan to the sewing industry. Deputy Talaybek Masabirov emphasized the importance of creating a logistics center and providing preferential loans to sewing enterprises. Minister Bakyt Sydykov reported that the Wildberries logistics center will be built by 2028. Deputy Bolotbek Borbiev noted the need to bring sewing production out of the shadow economy. Deputy Cholpon Esenamanova raised questions regarding the rules for importing goods into Russia, product labeling, and VAT. Deputy Nilufer Alimjanova emphasized the need to diversify sales markets. Deputy Azamzhan Jalilov noted that Kyrgyzstan should make the most of its economic opportunities within the EAEU. Deputy Azamat Isyrailov added that it is necessary to create favorable conditions for domestic producers and resolve issues related to transport logistics and sales markets.
In conclusion, the "Ala-Too" deputy group instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to consider the proposed measures, including issues of preferential lending and market diversification.
