In Kyrgyzstan, some of the most optimal conditions for the garment industry have been created, as noted by Temir Sariyev, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic. This statement was made at a meeting of the "Ala-Too" parliamentary group, dedicated to analyzing the situation in the garment industry and the country's economy.
Sariyev noted that during visits to neighboring Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, local entrepreneurs express concern about competition from Kyrgyz producers. He also added that Russian buyers confirm the high quality of products made in Kyrgyzstan, which surpasses the level of competitors by 3-5 times and meets European standards.

“We must focus not on sewing simple t-shirts and underwear, but on more expensive and high-quality clothing,” he stressed.
Sariyev also touched upon the topic of Kyrgyzstan's work within the Eurasian Economic Union, noting that there are often controversial opinions from certain deputies and bloggers in society.
“Russia is the main market for our products, to which almost all exports go. Therefore, special attention must be paid to the garment sector,” he added.
Additionally, he pointed out the tightening of rules for importing goods amid economic difficulties and a reduction in budget revenues in Russia.
“Previously, many issues were resolved more easily, but now strict requirements have been introduced, including those concerning VAT and documentation. We ourselves need to bring order to the processing of goods and accompanying documents to facilitate the process,” he noted.Sariyev also mentioned that about 90% of sales are currently shifting to marketplaces, and Kyrgyz producers should adapt to these new conditions.
