The president has signed a new law that introduces tax benefits for various entrepreneurs, as well as for legal entities and individuals. One of the key measures is the reduction of income tax to 1% of the average salary for workers in the sewing and textile industry. In addition, the document establishes uniform rates for insurance contributions for all participants in this sector, which will be calculated based on the average salary.

In a comment to state media, Zarlyk Imankulov, a board member of the "Legprom" Association, emphasized that this law will provide significant support for the sewing industry.
He noted that it was the entrepreneurs who covered social and income payments, which created a serious financial burden on businesses. This, in turn, negatively affected the cost of production and reduced competitiveness.

Imankulov also added that creating conditions to enhance the competitiveness of the sewing industry compared to traditional leaders such as China, Turkey, and Bangladesh will have a positive impact on the economy as a whole. According to unofficial data, more than 200,000 people work in this sector, which accounts for about 8% of the entire working-age population of the country.

He also emphasized that the deterioration of the situation in the light industry negatively affects sectors such as trade and construction, as it is the seamstresses working in this field who are active homebuyers and contribute to the development of domestic demand.
