According to the report from the Ministry of Economy, the volume of foreign economic turnover in Kyrgyzstan from January to November 2025 amounted to $14 billion, which is 12.2% less compared to the same period in 2024.

In the structure of foreign trade, exports accounted for 18.5%, while imports made up 81.5%. The agency emphasized that the decline in the volume of foreign and mutual trade is primarily related to a decrease in export supplies.

Exports of goods totaled $2.6 billion, representing a reduction of 43.5%. Excluding gold, it fell by 19.7%, reaching $1.9 billion.

The agency noted that the main factor contributing to the ongoing decline in exports remains gold, which accounts for 26.3% of the total export volume.

The decrease in demand from key trading partners, such as Russia and Kazakhstan, also negatively impacted exports.

Additionally, the reduction in the export of investment goods, including machinery and equipment, significantly affected the overall export figures, as clarified by the Ministry of Economy.

Furthermore, the temporary restrictions imposed in 2025 on the export of certain raw materials, adopted by the government to support the domestic market, also reduced export revenues and the overall dynamics of exports, the agency added.

Imports during the period under review amounted to $11.4 billion, which is 0.5% more compared to January - November 2024.
