In the Manas district of the Talas region, there is a noticeable growth in farms specializing in the breeding of high-yield pedigree livestock. Currently, 48 specialized cooperatives are successfully operating in the meat and dairy sectors.
Among the examples of successful modernization in the industry is the cooperative "Nogoybay Ata," which has chosen the Auliye-Kol breed of cows for breeding. This livestock is well adapted to the climatic features of the region: it is resistant to low temperatures and demonstrates outstanding meat productivity. The characteristic indicators are impressive: the live weight of 10-month-old calves exceeds 500 kilograms, while adult cows over two years old can weigh more than one ton.
The development of the breeding sector is being carried out within the framework of the "from quantity to quality" strategy initiated by Minister Bakyt Torobaev. State support for farmers is yielding results: last year, 8 new cooperatives were established in the district.
One of the significant achievements of 2025 was the successful certification of two breeding farms in the district. Now, the Manas district is officially recognized as a base for breeding elite livestock of world-class quality:
Meat direction: Aberdeen-Angus breed.
Dairy direction: Holstein-Friesian breed.
Experts note that the transition to pedigree breeding not only significantly increases farmers' incomes but also contributes to strengthening the country's food security by providing the market with quality meat and dairy products.
