Based on the minimum standards set by the state, we calculated the cost of the consumer basket for a family of four, relying on prices in one of the supermarkets in Bishkek. Recently, many residents of the city prefer to shop at large stores.
Of course, the calculations are approximate and based on the norms approved by the state. Considering individual preferences, not everyone can consume products in the same quantities. Some do not eat meat at all, while others do not like sugar. Therefore, our basket should be viewed as a kind of social experiment from 24.kg.
Grain products include both bread and pasta and cereals. Our family is average in composition, so we prefer apples and bananas for fruits, and for vegetables, we choose onions, carrots, peppers, cabbage, cucumbers, and tomatoes. We try to avoid unnecessary expenses, limiting ourselves to essential products.
