
As of today, there is a variety of prices for raw milk in Kyrgyzstan, which is purchased by processors from agricultural producers. According to the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, the price of one liter of milk with a basic fat content of 3.4% ranges from 32 to 48 soms, depending on the region.
The official monitoring from the ministry shows the following picture by regions:
Issyk-Kul region: price range varies from 34 to 48 soms; Chui region: purchase price ranges from 35 to 47 soms; Talas region: farmers receive from 32 to 41 soms per liter of milk.
The ministry also emphasizes that product prices are formed in accordance with established legislative norms. According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 724 dated December 2, 2024, a special procedure for determining prices was adopted. The main benchmark for calculating the base price is milk with a fat content of 3.4%.
Regular price monitoring allows the ministry to maintain a balance of interests between farming households and large processing plants, contributing to the stability of milk product supplies in the domestic market of Kyrgyzstan.
