The Export Development and Promotion Center "Kyrgyz Export," operating under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, focuses on three main areas, as its director Urmat Takirov stated in an interview with the radio station.

Since its establishment in May 2024, the center has been actively working to support exporters and entrepreneurs.

The first area of its activity is related to creating conditions for Kyrgyz products to enter international markets. Within this framework, the center conducts analytical research, provides consulting services, and organizes training seminars for businesspeople.

“Every exporter faces unique challenges, so our consulting support is tailored to the characteristics of each company,” noted Takirov.

The second area involves improving export support. Based on feedback from businesses, the center formulates recommendations for the Cabinet of Ministers and relevant agencies.

For example, the government's plans for 2026 include a credit mechanism aimed at export contracts. As Takirov emphasized, payment delays after the shipment of goods can reach six months, leading to financial difficulties for companies.

“This creates liquidity problems, especially for medium and large suppliers,” he added.

The possibility of partial compensation for costs in conditions of instability in global markets is also being considered. For instance, the drop in bean prices due to increased production in other countries reduces the competitiveness of Kyrgyz products when considering logistics costs.

In such cases, reimbursement of part of the expenses for logistics and international certificates necessary for entering new markets may be provided.

The third key area of the center is the promotion of products made in Kyrgyzstan. In a year and a half of operation, 43 international events have been organized, including exhibitions, B2B meetings, and trade missions. Special attention is given to sectors such as food, agriculture, as well as the textile and industrial fields.

Starting in 2025, the center intends to actively develop the export of services, including the information technology sector.

This year, the launch of an export accelerator is planned—a year-long support program for companies that will include specialized training, support for pilot projects, participation in international exhibitions without prior selection, as well as organizing foreign trips to establish contacts with equipment and raw material suppliers.

Special attention will be paid to the development of the textile industry. In April, an industry forum will be held in Bishkek with the participation of Russian representatives from the fashion industry and buyers. In June, Kyrgyz enterprises will participate in an international platform in Moscow, and annual trips to exhibitions in Paris and Dubai will also be organized.

The main market for products from Kyrgyzstan remains Russia, which, according to Takirov, is taken into account when formulating the center's strategies.
