- The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic confirmed the signing of a contract with BBAM Aircraft Leasing & Management for the supply of two Airbus A321ceo aircraft.

This agreement was signed by BBAM's CEO Steve Zissis and the chairman of the national airline Manasbek Samidinov.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that these agreements highlight the level of trust between the parties, as well as the readiness for open dialogue and long-term cooperation.

"Modern and efficient aircraft will help elevate civil aviation to a new level," he added.

Kasymaliev also reported that until recently, the development of the aviation industry was fragmented due to insufficient support; however, significant changes have occurred in recent years. He mentioned that President Sadyr Japarov's decision to establish the State Agency for Civil Aviation under the Cabinet of Ministers was an important step forward for the industry.

According to Kasymaliev, from 2021 to 2025, the number of passengers on domestic and international flights increased by 52%, and the number of flights performed grew by 53%. ICAO audits in 2023-2024 confirmed that the country's aviation system meets international standards, and the effectiveness of aviation safety reached 85.76%, which raises hopes for Kyrgyzstan's removal from the EU Safety List.

President of Airbus Europe Johan Pelissie expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and confirmed readiness to continue cooperation for the further development of the aviation sector.

The delivery of the Airbus A321ceo aircraft is scheduled for the end of 2026. This acquisition is aimed at supporting the national airline, improving passenger comfort, enhancing flight safety, and expanding the network of air services.
