In the building of the President's Administration, an agreement was signed between OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" and "BBAM Aircraft Leasing & Management" for the purchase of two aircraft of the "Airbus A321ceo" model for Kyrgyzstan.

The document was signed by the Chairman of the Board of OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" Manasbek Samidinov and the General Director of "BBAM Aircraft Leasing & Management" Steve Zissis.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that the signed agreements reflect mutual trust, openness in dialogue, and a commitment to long-term partnership. According to him, the introduction of modern and efficient aircraft will elevate the civil aviation of Kyrgyzstan to a new level.

He expressed gratitude for the support provided in implementing initiatives to modernize the country's fleet. Kasymaliev noted that the development of the aviation sector had previously occurred in a fragmented manner due to a lack of systematic support. However, significant changes have taken place in recent years. The decision made by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to establish the State Agency for Civil Aviation under the Cabinet of Ministers has opened a new era for aviation in the country, he added.

Kasymaliev also reported that from 2021 to 2025, there has been a 52% increase in the number of passengers served at airports on domestic and international flights, and a 53% increase in the number of flights performed. In 2021, 5 airports were operational, whereas now all airports in the country are functioning.

"According to audits conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in 2023-2024, it has been confirmed that the aviation system of Kyrgyzstan meets international standards. The latest audit showed aviation safety effectiveness at 85.76%, which is a significant improvement compared to previous results. These achievements create opportunities for Kyrgyzstan's removal from the European Union's Safety List. A final audit by the European Commission is expected in the coming days, which will be an important step towards this goal," he noted.

President of "Airbus Europe" Johan Pelissie thanked for the warm welcome and emphasized that a direct dialogue has been established with representatives of Kyrgyzstan's aviation sector for the successful implementation of joint major projects. He also expressed readiness to continue cooperation with the Kyrgyz side for further development of the aviation sector.

It is important to note that the "Airbus A321ceo" aircraft will be delivered to OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" at the end of 2026. The acquisition of these aircraft is aimed at supporting the national airline "Asman Airlines," which is a subsidiary of "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," as well as enhancing passenger comfort, strengthening flight safety, expanding routes, and bolstering positions in international aviation.

The record of Kyrgyzstan purchasing two "Airbus A321ceo" aircraft was first published on the K-News website.
