Sharshembek Abdykerimov, the founder of "AYU Holding," shared his thoughts on the persecution by the GKNB and in particular Kamchybek Tashiev, recounting several meetings with him:
When I became a deputy in 2011, Tashiev did not make a significant impression on me. At that time, Sadyr Japarov was quite active on issues related to Kumtor, and I even supported his resolution. Tashiev, on the other hand, remained unnoticed. I only remember seeing him climb over a fence, which I saw on television. I didn’t often attend parliament — I had my own affairs and rhythm of life.
The second time I encountered Tashiev was in 2015 during the elections in the Osh region. I was in the airport courtyard, preparing to fly to Bishkek, when I saw Omurbek Babanov and Kamchybek Tashiev, who had united in the "Republic — Ata Jurt" party. We chatted, and again, the main focus was on Babanov, while Tashiev remained silent, listening with his head bowed. Babanov asked me why I was alone, to which I replied that Kanat Isaev was working in the north, while I was in the south. He quickly agreed with that. The next day, I saw that they too had started to work separately, as elections are a labor-intensive process. I even noticed how Bakyt Torobaev, the leader of the "Onuguu" party, looked very tired by the end of the campaign. But even after that, Tashiev did not leave a significant impression on me.
Our third meeting took place in his office at the GKNB, organized by Salaydin Aydarov. I was in Dubai, undergoing treatment after the presidential elections. I was talking to Tashiev, and he asked me to help the budget with 500 million soms. I explained that I was already paying taxes and that my work had effectively been suspended for six months, but "shadow" schemes had not been discovered. In the end, he offered 300 million, and we reached a compromise — I agreed to 250 million. He assured me that I would not be bothered anymore, and I flew back to Dubai.
At first, everything was calm, but then the head of the Chui GKNB, Jakypbekov, arrested Ruslan Choybekov, the general secretary of the "Kyrgyzstan" party and a lawyer for my company, on party lines. When Ruslan was released, he called me and said that his mother had fallen ill with cancer due to stress. Since then, he has constantly talked about her condition.
Later, Ruslan came to Dubai for my birthday while I was on an IV in the hospital. At that moment, Dinarbek and Ruslan Choybekov, as well as Ruslan Ajibekov, unexpectedly entered the room. It was a pleasant surprise, and I began to trust Ruslan more, considering him a smart and strong lawyer.
However, I soon realized that Ruslan had probably been recruited. It was a classic intelligence operation — pressure, manipulation, and recruitment, and he began to use the vulnerable topic related to his mother.
At that time, I was going through serious surgeries myself. My son Iskander became a donor and gave part of his liver. After the operation, I was in a difficult situation, suffering unbearable pain, and I lost control of my words, offending many, including Kamchybek Tashiev and others. I didn’t even remember everyone, but the fact remains — I hurt people, and for that, I had to answer.
When my mother was flying to me for her second operation, she passed passport control without any issues and boarded the plane. But three strong men in masks with automatic weapons appeared in the cabin, who could have detained her earlier but decided to do it in front of everyone. They led her out of the plane.
She ended up at the GKNB, where she was met by Ruslan Choybekov and an investigator. Ruslan said: "Apa, they want to imprison me again. If you sign the paper, they won’t imprison me." Her son was sitting in front of her, and she, filled with fear, agreed. After that, her condition worsened — she stopped leaving the house, began to lose her memory, and suffered from dementia, as if with that signature, they took her peace and life away.
When I reflect on this, I realize that it was not a coincidence. It was a deliberate act to demonstrate power and break.
I understand: Kamchybek Tashiev took revenge on me. Harshly.
