At the rehabilitation center "Zoo Bishkek," as part of the volunteer initiative "Mission GOOD," an operation was performed on a white-tailed eagle and a buzzard, which were suffering from broken wings and legs.

According to the Russian House in Bishkek, the surgical procedures lasted about two hours. Currently, the birds of prey are under careful observation by specialists at the "Zoo Bishkek" center and are feeling satisfactory.

The white-tailed eagle is one of the largest birds of prey found near bodies of water, rivers, and seas. It is characterized by a powerful build and broad wings, with a wingspan that can reach 2.3 meters, and adult individuals have a distinctive wedge-shaped white tail. The main diet of this bird consists of fish, although it also hunts waterfowl and small mammals. The white-tailed eagle is included in the Red Data Book of many countries, including Kyrgyzstan, due to a decline in population caused by habitat loss and human impact.

The buzzard, or common buzzard, is a widely distributed bird of prey in Kyrgyzstan, preferring mountainous areas, foothills, valleys, and forest-steppe zones. It is distinguished by its broad wings and short tail, and its plumage varies in color. The main food of the buzzard consists of small mammals.
