In Bishkek, there are plans to place mannequins of police officers in close proximity to ATMs. This was mentioned in an interview with "Birinchi Radio" by Rustam Sarybaev, the director of the Academy of Sustainable Development of the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan.

He noted that many citizens continue to fall victim to the tricks of telephone scammers, who actively use fake websites, various links, and advertisements.

“Scammers often pose as employees of banks, mobile operators, or law enforcement agencies. They apply psychological pressure, intimidate, and create a sense of urgency, promising benefits and manipulating people,” emphasized Sarybaev.

The director also added that banks never request such data as PIN codes, CVV codes, and information from SMS messages regarding online banking via phone or messengers.

“If someone talks to you with threats and rushes you, it is always a signal that you are dealing with scammers. Together with the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, we plan to install mannequins of police officers near ATMs in Bishkek. These scammers often lead their victims to ATMs, forcing them to withdraw money and immediately transfer it either to themselves or to their accomplices. The mannequins are meant to remind people of the potential danger and make them think that they could become victims of fraud. We want to increase the digital literacy of the population through such simple yet effective measures,” he noted.

Sarybaev also added that the installation of mannequins is an example of international practice. A hundred locations in the capital have already been selected for this initiative, and there are plans to expand the projects throughout the republic, as statistics show that fraud is spreading to the regions of Kyrgyzstan.
