Former Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov spoke about an important state initiative aimed at helping citizens obtain housing. In the documentary film "Five Years — The Beginning of a New Era," he noted that a large housing construction program is being implemented in the country for those who dream of their own home.
According to Japarov, the State Mortgage Company offers housing with a preferential interest rate of 4%. This measure is intended to support citizens wishing to improve their living conditions.
He also added that President Sadyr Japarov often communicates with labor migrants during his trips abroad, who express a desire to return to their homeland if they have the opportunity to purchase their own housing. This sentiment is also observed among the youth in Kyrgyzstan.
“The construction of mortgage homes at 4% is taking place not only in large cities like Bishkek and Osh but also in district centers across the country. Young people deserve comfortable living conditions even in rural areas. We aim to increase the population to 10–20 million while simultaneously improving the standard of living,” he emphasized.
Akylbek Japarov reported that more than 60,000 apartments have already been built in the republic, and the process of providing citizens with housing continues in stages.
He added that socio-economic changes, including an increase in the budget and the implementation of large-scale housing projects, have become possible due to the persistent and systematic work of the country's leadership. Citizens feel the results of these transformations through the improvement of their living conditions.
