Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev reported on the work of the commission that was selecting the best proposals. He noted that out of 900 submitted options, three were chosen.
However, the Jogorku Kenesh rejected the three versions of the anthem's text and music. The interdepartmental commission responsible for preparing the updated version of the anthem includes deputies Nurchamal Torobekova, Baktyyar Kalpaev, Ulanbek Zhaanbaev, Kamila Talieva, and Venera Salyamova.
The new stage of the competition will last until June 1.
