At the meeting of the parliamentary groups "Ala-Too" and "Eldik" on January 30, Primov stated that benefits should correspond to actual economic conditions.

The Minister of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration, Kanat Sagynbaev, responded that the cost of a bag of flour is, in his opinion, about 1,500 soms.

To this, Primov remarked: "You are not aware. In fact, a bag of flour costs between 1,700 and 2,500 soms. Meanwhile, the minimum consumer basket is 8,700 soms. How can a family of five survive on 6,000 soms if prices are like this? Yes, it is a difficult task, but the economy shows positive trends: by the end of 2025, GDP was about 2 trillion, and there is growth. However, benefits remain at the level of 2020, while inflation during these years has been significant, reaching 9.5% in 2025," emphasized the deputy.

Primov also pointed out that low-income families are deprived of benefits if they own transportation, even if it is a combine harvester that is less than 20 years old.

"A combine harvester is seasonal work. You can't work on it all year round. Will the owner use it as a taxi?" he exclaimed and called for a revision of the criteria for assigning benefits.
