In the Jeti-Oguz district, in the Ak-Tash area, the winter festival "Ak Ilbirs" took place on January 31.

Nurdin Jusupov, the head of the Orgochor rural district, shared information about the event:

“We organized this festival in the Ak-Tash gorge, where a jade stone was discovered. This event precedes the start of a major project. Plans include the construction of modern capsule houses and A-frame houses, as well as the development of winter and summer sports. The jade weighing 182 tons will be fenced off, covered with glass, and visitors will be able to see it from above. The new project will be called 'Sart Ake Recreation Zone,' and all conditions for tourism will be created on 20 hectares of land,” he stated.

According to the district akim Ermek Bakhauddinov, the main goal of the festival is to develop the tourism industry and promote the picturesque places of Jeti-Oguz, as well as the "seven wonders," highlighting the region's high tourism potential.

Within the framework of the festival, craft exhibitions and food fairs were organized. Educational institutions in the district also prepared various interpretations of "Ak Ilbirs" and held a special competition, awarding the winners.

On this day, guests could participate in sledding, tug-of-war, as well as in the games "ordo," salbuurun, and archery. Visitors ascended in a hot air balloon, enjoying the picturesque views, and there was also an opportunity to ride in horse-drawn sleds.

The festival gathered about 4,000 tourists, both local and foreign.
