According to Kurmanov, pilot training includes two years of theoretical education, followed by 8 to 12 months of practical flying necessary to obtain an international license. He pointed out that training pilots requires not only aircraft handling skills but also the ability to make decisions in complex situations, interact with air traffic controllers, and understand international safety standards.
Kurmanov also expressed dissatisfaction with the opinion circulating on social media that "a pilot can be trained in a month." In his view, such statements mislead people and create unnecessary tension in society. "Pilot training and driver training are completely different fields; they cannot be compared. The difference between them is enormous," he stated.
Furthermore, he added that even driver training should be more responsible, as it is directly related to road safety. "The responsibility for training drivers should also be high, as the lives of passengers and other road users depend on their knowledge," Kurmanov concluded.
