At the Kabul University of Medical Sciences in Afghanistan, the country's first faculty of "prophetic medicine" will soon begin operations. This new educational unit will focus on treatment methods mentioned in Islamic texts. This information was published by the well-known blogger Ilya Varlamov on his Telegram channel.

The Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan made this decision as part of the Taliban's policy aimed at adapting educational programs to the strict norms of Islam.

As stated in the official message from the ministry, the establishment of this faculty is driven by the need to meet educational, academic, and research interests in the field of traditional medicine.

According to Islamic teachings, "prophetic medicine" includes collections of recommendations from the Prophet Muhammad, compiled by theologians, where the main principles are healing through the recitation of the Quran and a preference for conservative treatment methods, avoiding surgical intervention.
