A new enterprise has been launched in Tokmok that accepts textile production waste for recycling. This was announced at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh by Daniyar Amangeldiev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

He emphasized that burning waste from sewing workshops poses a serious threat to the environment.

“The Ministry of Nature is actively addressing this issue. We have acquired all the necessary equipment, including drones for monitoring. If black smoke is spotted, inspectors will be able to conduct an inspection. The environmental inspection works in coordination with the mayor's office and the police, and has the authority to impose fines,” the official noted.

Amangeldiev added that the new recycling factory in Tokmok allows for the reuse of fabrics, which is a much more environmentally safe option compared to burning them.

“Submitting raw materials for recycling is a more sensible step than destroying them,” he concluded.
