Doctors revealed which diseases account for 82% of deaths in Kyrgyzstan

According to specialists from the Bishkek Center for Health Strengthening, up to 82% of deaths in the country are associated with non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, oncology, lung diseases, and diabetes.

The STEPS study showed that 76.2% of the population leads an insufficiently active lifestyle, 44% smoke, and 48.9% consume alcohol.

"More than half of our health (50–55%) depends on lifestyle," the experts noted.

As medical professionals assert, regular physical activity:"It is important to understand that physical activity does not necessarily have to take place in a gym. It is enough to dedicate 30 minutes a day to moderate activities such as brisk walking, dancing, gardening, or playing with children," the specialists added.
