According to data from the Bishkek Center for Health Promotion, about 82% of all mortality cases in Kyrgyzstan are related to non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

These diseases include cardiovascular, oncological, respiratory diseases, and diabetes.

Known risk factors include unhealthy eating, lack of physical activity, smoking, and alcohol consumption. The STEPS study shows that 76.2% of the population do not lead an active lifestyle, 44% smoke, and 48.9% consume alcohol. Moreover, lifestyle affects health by more than 50-55%. Thus, the prevention of NCDs begins not in medical institutions, but with the choices we make every day.

Regular physical activity contributes to improved circulation, weight control, and normalization of blood sugar and cholesterol levels, which reduces the risk of hypertension, stroke, diabetes, and oncological diseases.
It is important to note that physical activities do not necessarily have to take place in a gym. Just 30 minutes of moderate activity a day is enough—this can be a brisk walk, dancing, gardening, or playing with children.

More intense physical activities, such as running, swimming, cycling, or sports games, further strengthen the cardiovascular system.

However, the maximum effect is achieved with a comprehensive approach: a combination of physical exercises, balanced nutrition, and the abandonment of harmful habits. Simple solutions made in everyday life can significantly help maintain health for many years.
