At a meeting chaired by Supreme Court Chairman Mederbek Satyiev, key aspects of the judicial system's work were discussed.
He noted that the quality of justice depends on the professionalism of judges, the unity of practice, and adherence to high ethical standards.
Satyiev emphasized that this meeting is not a formal event: it is an opportunity for analyzing work, identifying shortcomings, and outlining ways for further improvement. The main goal is development, not criticism.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Issyk-Kul Regional Court, Nurkalyy Asanbaev, presented a report on the quality of justice. According to his data, in 2025, 870 cases were reviewed in appellate proceedings, of which 413 were appealed in cassation, and 312 cases, or 75.54%, were upheld.
Mederbek Satyiev stressed that public trust in the judicial system largely depends on the quality of judges' work. He called for active summarization of judicial practice, its constant analysis, and the development of measures to eliminate shortcomings.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court emphasized the importance of quality work by judges in building trust in the judicial system. He highlighted judges who demonstrate high results while also urging attention to those with lower performance indicators.
“If we approach our work formally, without deep analysis and attention to detail, how can citizens trust our courts?” Mederbek Satyiev noted, adding that every negligent decision undermines the authority of the entire judicial system.
Other important issues were also discussed at the meeting, including the work of automated information systems, problems with land plots, repairs and construction, logistical support for the courts, personnel policy, and the activities of bailiffs.
