This year, 37 insurance incidents were recorded
During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputies reviewed a draft law concerning amendments to the Civil Code and the law on mandatory insurance of residential premises against natural disasters and fire, which was presented for its first reading.
The Chairman of the State Service for Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Marat Pirnazarov, provided information on this issue.
According to him, the aim of the draft law is to improve the system of mandatory insurance for housing against natural disasters and fire.
During the discussion, Deputy Altynbek Kylchbaev asked about the timelines for insurance payouts in the event of an insured event, especially in the case of fire, as well as the amount of compensation.
The speaker responded that the maximum payout amount is 1 million soms for urban residents and 500 thousand soms for rural areas, and the payout timelines do not exceed one month.
Deputy Gulnara Akimbaeva clarified who can act as a third party within the framework of mandatory insurance.
In response to Deputy Toktobubu Ashymbaev's question about the payouts made, Marat Pirnazarov reported that in 2024, 240 insurance cases were registered with total payouts amounting to 37 million soms, while in 2025, there were 247 cases with payouts of 32 million soms. In the current year, 37 cases have been registered, with 10 million soms paid out.
As a result of the discussion, the deputies unanimously approved the draft law in its first reading.
