The Sverdlovsk District Court of Bishkek became the first in the country to conduct an online broadcast of a court session. The broadcast was organized on the YouTube channel "Zhogorku Sot".

One of the cases reviewed was a criminal case related to domestic violence.

Present at the session were Aman Jumaliev, Deputy Head of the Supreme Court Apparatus, and Aibek Aydarov, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Supreme Court noted that amendments were made to the Criminal Procedure Code of Kyrgyzstan, introducing the concepts of "video conferencing" and "online broadcast of court sessions".

According to the new amendments, participants in the process, including the accused, have the right to familiarize themselves with the minutes of the sessions, including audio and video recordings, and can submit comments on them. They can also petition for sessions to be held using video communication or broadcasting via television, radio, and the internet.

The court has the right to allow online broadcasts on its own initiative or at the request of participants, making decisions based on the interests of justice, the principle of transparency, and the safety of participants in the process.

It is emphasized that the implementation of such mechanisms is aimed at increasing the transparency of the judicial system, strengthening public trust in justice, and improving the openness of court proceedings.
