At the "Torugart" Checkpoint, the infrastructure modernization has been completed - before and after photos

The modernization at the "Torugart" checkpoint has been completed, during which an electronic queue system for trucks was implemented. This information was provided by the State Customs Infrastructure JSC.

According to the statement, the implementation of the electronic queue has become an important step in optimizing the movement of freight transport on one of the most significant international transport corridors. Previously, serious traffic jams often occurred here, and at times the queue length reached 25 km, which put pressure on the road infrastructure and worsened the environmental situation in the area of Lake Chatyr-Kul.

The new system involves the pre-registration of trucks and the formation of a transparent electronic queue. Vehicles will wait for their turn in a special zone "Kara-Bulak" and will be directed to the checkpoint according to pre-established rules.

In addition, a large-scale reconstruction is underway at the "Torugart" checkpoint: administrative buildings are being renovated, areas are being expanded, and a new inspection complex is being built. A modern waiting area has already been opened for participants in foreign economic activity. These steps are aimed at speeding up border crossing, improving conditions for carriers, and increasing Kyrgyzstan's transit potential.
