Efforts to Implement Digital Technologies in the Judicial System are Intensifying
According to the provided data, video conferences and online broadcasts were organized for two cases in the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek. Similar measures were taken in the Lenin District Court, allowing participants in judicial processes to participate remotely, without the need for physical presence in the courtroom.
It is important to note that amendments have been made to procedural legislation that formalize concepts such as "video conferencing" and "online broadcast of hearings." The introduction of video conferencing opens new horizons for participants in processes, allowing them to take part in hearings from anywhere with internet access.
This is especially important for criminal cases: transporting defendants from detention centers, as well as the participation of witnesses and experts, requires significant resources and time. Video communication helps reduce the time for case consideration, lowering transportation and organizational costs, making the judicial process more accessible and economical. This not only simplifies life for participants in the process but also optimizes state expenditures and increases the overall efficiency of the judicial system.
The judicial system recognizes the importance of implementing digital technologies in procedural production and is working to enhance the accessibility of justice, the transparency of the judicial system, and the simplification of procedures. This is happening against the backdrop of the absence of an established structure responsible for developing digital products and maintaining existing systems.
