In some cafes in Kyrgyzstan, there has been a 20% increase in the prices of dishes after the service charge was abolished. This was reported by the State Antimonopoly Service.

The agency clarified that this charge mainly existed in cities such as Bishkek and Osh and ranged from 5 to 15 percent.

The State Antimonopoly Service urges citizens to contact the agency regarding any issues related to violations of consumer rights.

It is worth noting that starting from January 1, restaurants and cafes in Kyrgyzstan are prohibited from charging separately for service, dish delivery, and other services provided by the staff, apart from the cost of the order.
