The Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu initiated a discussion
At a parliamentary meeting, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, reported that in recent days, numerous complaints have been received by the parliament from both citizens and construction companies. The main topic of these appeals has been the increase in tariffs and housing prices.
“The Ministry of Construction and Architecture independently sets tariffs without prior agreements with the Cabinet of Ministers and the Jogorku Kenesh. This has led to an increase in the cost per square meter of housing, making it difficult for the population to purchase homes. In this regard, the parliamentary committee should consider this issue next Wednesday and bring it to the plenary session. Many people are dissatisfied with the current situation, and it is necessary to restore order,” emphasized the Speaker.
Additionally, following the statement by the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, Nurdana Oruntaeva, regarding the high salaries of ministry employees, which reach up to 500,000 soms, public discontent has arisen. Citizens are questioning the rise in construction tariffs and the increase in housing prices.
