Akyilbek Tumonbaev, one of the speakers, noted that the Minister of Construction boasts on social media about the high salaries of his employees, which reach 500,000 soms.
“At the same time, the cost of housing on the market continues to rise. Construction companies report that the increase in the price per square meter of housing is related to the Ministry of Construction's requirements for the payment of various licenses and taxes. These issues should be addressed by the relevant committee. In the country, budget employees receive only 30,000-40,000 soms, while some employees in the Ministry of Construction receive 500,000 soms, which causes discontent,” he stated.
Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu supported his position, emphasizing the relevance of the raised issue.
“Representatives of the construction industry are turning to parliament, pointing out existing problems. The Ministry of Construction has set tariffs that are only beneficial to itself, although their approval should have been coordinated with the Jogorku Kenesh. This leads to an increase in housing prices in the country. We need to thoroughly examine this issue in the relevant committee and then bring it to the plenary session,” the speaker added.
