Dosmambetov noted that the high mortality rate from cancer is due to the lack of progress and modern methods in the healthcare system.
He expressed concern about alarming statistics: "Why do we have such horrifying figures in oncology? The reason is that there is no development. Oncologists are not striving for self-improvement. This leads to high mortality rates. People are forced to seek treatment abroad, selling their homes, despite significant investments in the sector," the minister said.
Additionally, he mentioned a recent meeting with Bukuev, during which he asked him about the existing problems in the center.
The minister recounted: "I invited Bukuev and asked about the problems. He replied that there were no problems. Does that mean he is satisfied with his work? Or does he simply not want to see and address the existing difficulties? This indicates indifference to the system. Such a person does not care about its condition," emphasized Kanaybek Dosmambetov.
The minister added that without recognizing existing problems and being ready for changes, it is impossible to improve the situation in the country's oncology service.
