“We have successfully eliminated crime, but we continue to fight against corruption as much as possible. The level of corruption has decreased, but it is still present. Unlike crime, which can be quickly eradicated, corruption, in my observations, will exist for a long time,” he said.
Japarov also noted that corruption has been reduced in the "White House" and the Cabinet of Ministers, as these structures are under constant control.
“However, in the regions, municipalities, and rural districts, this problem still exists. We observe negligence, corrupt schemes, and theft. The service to citizens leaves much to be desired, and decisions affecting people are made slowly. We acknowledge this. However, we will continue our work in the rural government,” the president added.
