As part of the World Government Summit taking place in Dubai, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev participated in a ministerial round table. This was reported by the country's government.

In his speech, Torobaev emphasized that humanity is facing a complex of challenges related to climate, water and food resources, as well as social issues.

“To achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, it is necessary to transition to long-term and integrated risk management. In the context of climate change, special attention should be paid to the issue of water resource scarcity. Kyrgyzstan, as a mountainous country that forms the sources of rivers in Central Asia, bears significant responsibility for the sustainability of the region's water ecosystems and consistently raises water security issues on international platforms,” he noted in his speech.
