At the ministerial round table held as part of this summit, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev noted that modern society faces numerous challenges related to climate, water, food, and social aspects.

He emphasized that achieving the Sustainable Development Goals requires the implementation of a comprehensive and long-term approach to risk management in this area.

During the discussions, special attention was given to the serious problem of water resource scarcity caused by climate change.

Torobaev added that Kyrgyzstan, as a mountainous country that forms the headwaters of Central Asia's rivers, has a unique responsibility to maintain the region's water ecosystems and actively raises issues of water security at international forums.
