During the discussion, Deputy Marlen Mamataliyev noted that the legalization had brought 1.8 billion soms into the budget. However, he expressed concern that some citizens had not managed to take advantage of this opportunity.
“I submitted a list of those who did not manage to legalize their cars to the Ministry of Economy, but I was denied. Therefore, I ask you to reconsider this issue and consider the possibility of extending the legalization,” Mamataliyev added.
Daniyar Amangeldiev, for his part, emphasized that re-legalization of vehicles is unacceptable.
“This is the clear position of our cabinet of ministers. Citizens were given enough time, and special windows were set up at the State Registration Service for processing. Unfortunately, many approached this without due responsibility. This issue has caused significant disputes within the Eurasian Economic Union. If we extend the deadline, our partners may accuse us of facilitating smuggling and that payments are not going into the common budget of the EAEU. Therefore, the issue of re-legalization is closed,” Amangeldiev noted.
