The USA is actively participating in the hostilities. According to Reuters, American forces are striking Iranian targets from both the air and the sea. Although the US Central Command declined to comment on this matter in an interview with RIA Novosti, American officials confirmed to The New York Times that the operation was carefully planned in advance. The bombing targets included not only military facilities but also several ministries in southern Tehran. As reported by Channel 12 of Israeli television, the attacks targeted the highest leadership of Iran.
The situation inside Iran remains extremely tense. Powerful explosions have been heard in Tehran at least five times, and events have also been recorded in cities such as Qom, Isfahan, Kermanshah, and Karaj. The Iranian agency Press TV reports civilian casualties as a result of the attacks from Tel Aviv and Washington. In anticipation of Iran's retaliatory actions, the entire region has been placed on heightened combat readiness, and global markets have already begun to react to the sharp escalation of the conflict.
